For security reasons, you’ll need to delete your Tinder account while signed in to the app or Tinder.com. Keep in mind, when you delete your account you permanently lose matches, messages, and other info associated with it. Please see below for information on:

Permanently deleting your account
To delete your account:
- Sign in to the Tinder app or Tinder.com
- Tap the profile icon
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down and select Delete Account
Note: Deleting the Tinder app does not delete your account. If you purchased a Tinder subscription using your Apple ID on iOS, deleting the app and/or your account does not cancel your subscription. If you subscribed via Google Play Store on Android or Tinder web (Tinder.com), deleting your account will cancel your subscription automatically.
Trouble with account deletion?
If you run into a technical issue or error message, double check that you have a strong internet connection and try again. If it’s a problem on our end, we probably already know — all that we ask is that you sit tight and check back later.
Temporarily hiding your profile
If you simply want to take a break without deleting your Tinder account, you can temporarily hid your profile in Discovery. Discovery is the part of the app where you get to check out potential matches. You can turn Discovery off so that you won’t be shown to anyone in Discovery. To turn Discovery ON or OFF:
Open Tinder
Tap the profile icon
Select Settings
Scroll to Discovery
Even with Discovery off, you can still view and message your matches.
Note: Even with Discovery off, people you had already Liked may still be able to see your profile and Like you back; this means you might get new matches while you have Discovery turned off.
