Events is a feature that aims to connect you and others IRL, whether it's wine-tasting, a game of padel, or something as simple as grabbing some dinner. Events is available for Android and iOS users in select markets.
Accessing Events
If Events is available to you, you can find it by following the instructions below:
- Open Tinder
- Tap the Events tab (calendar icon on your bottom toolbar)
- Explore the Events being hosted in your area!
Please note: While Events is available to you, the Explore tab will be temporarily unavailable.
Using Events
Once on the Events tab, you’ll be able to see certain Events in your area. You’ll see various amounts of information for each Event, including who’s interested in attending and the general location. More details may be found on the third party ticketing site.
It’s worth keeping the following in mind:
- Events are available in limited markets.
- You must be Photo Verified.
- Once you’ve indicated you’re “Interested” in an Event, your profile will be visible to other users who are interested in the Event too.
- You’ll see a maximum of 50 other users when looking at the “Interested” tab of an Event. More users may be in attendance than the 50 shown, but this is the maximum number of other users we can show at this time.
- When looking at the guest list (of who has tapped “Interested” on an Event), you’ll be able to filter between what users you see. These 3 filters (For You, Everyone, and Blocked) aim to help you make a more informed decision about whether to attend or not. You can find more information about blocked users under Safety with Events.
If your location access is turned on, we may use your device location to enable or notify you about Event check-in when you’re close to the Event venue.
Getting tickets for an Event
To get your ticket to an event, tap the “Tickets” button. You’ll be taken to an external partner site. Please follow the instructions on this site to receive your Event ticket.
Safety with Events
The same respect and safety standards apply both on Tinder and when meeting in person, and Events is no different. Below, you’ll find various resources and guides on IRL safety and reporting any inappropriate behavior or content you may encounter.
Please note: Both users you’ve blocked and users who blocked you will be shown in the “I’m Interested” section of Events. This should help you and others make an informed decision on whether or not you’d like to attend an Event or not.
You can report inappropriate content or behavior that took place at an Event the same way you would if it happened on Tinder. Here's how to make a report:
In-app
- Open Tinder
- Tap the Events tab, and find the Event you’ve attended with the person in question
- Tap on the person’s profile
- Tap the ellipsis (3 dots) and Report
- Follow the steps
By email
You can contact us by using this form. Please follow the instructions in the contact form, and provide us with as much information as you can (and as you’re comfortable with sharing).
Please note: Some Events will allow +1s. These +1s may not be on Tinder and won’t necessarily be found in the “Interested” list.
