If you violate our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines, we can take action on your Tinder account. Depending on the violation, we can remove your profile from Tinder, issue a warning and/or remove content from your profile. If you believe we took an action in error, you have the opportunity to appeal these in the Appeals Center.
Appealable violations
You can access the Appeals Center by using the same login details as for your Tinder account. In the Appeal Center, you can see an overview of all actions that can be appealed. You can tap See details to know more about a specific violation.
If you don’t see a specific violation that you want to appeal or don’t see the option to appeal a violation, it means it can’t be appealed through the appeals center. This could be because the violation occurred more than 6 months ago, or that you’ve already appealed this action. Please refer to the Appeals Center for more information.
How to appeal
To appeal, follow these steps:
- In the Appeals Center, find the violation you want to appeal and select it.
- Tap Begin appeal.
- Tap Submit appeal.
If there are multiple violations you want to appeal, make sure they're all selected when you submit the appeal.
After appealing
Once you appeal your violation, the violation is moved to the Appealed tab and you’ll see an In Review label next to the violation. When we have reviewed your appeal, this label will update to Approved or Denied, depending on the outcome of the appeal.
- If the label shows that your appeal is approved, it means that the violation you appealed was reversed. Depending on the violation you appealed, we either reinstated your account, reversed the warning and/or restored your content.
- If the label shows that your appeal is denied, it means that the violation you appealed was reinforced. Depending on the violation you appealed, we either won’t reinstate your account, won’t reverse the warning and/or won’t restore your content.
If you see a new violation in the Appeal Center, that means that during our review we discovered an additional violation(s) of our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines. You may appeal new violations through the Appeal Center.
If you’re looking for clarification about any of the terms used in the Appeal Center, please see this Help Center article.
