Astrology Mode is a mode available to Android and iOS users in select markets.
Astrology Mode (based on Western Astrology) uses a range of information, such as your star sign, to show you other users with compatible astrological signs. We’ll use the information you provide to determine your astrological placement (Moon, Rising or Sun). We’ll then show you users (based on your Discovery settings), all with information displayed on their profile regarding their placement and how your placements are potentially compatible.
Accessing Astrology Mode
If Astrology Mode is available to you, you’ll find the “Astrology” pill button on your Discovery screen. If more than 1 mode is available to you, you may need to swipe through the modes to find Astrology Mode.
- Open Tinder
- Tap the Discovery tab
- Find the “Astrology” pill button and tap to enter Astrology Mode
Using Astrology Mode
When you enter Astrology Mode for the first time, you’ll be asked to enter some information about your birth (place and time of birth) to determine your placement. Adding more information will make the calculation more accurate. If you choose not to input some information (such as birth time), please know that this may have an impact on determining your placement accurately.
Your date of birth will be auto-populated based on your sign-up. Your date of birth can’t be changed after sign-up, more information can be found here.
Please note: Your birth info is private. It’ll be used to calculate your signs and won’t be shown to other users.
Once you’ve received your placement and learned more about what this means for you, you’ll begin to see blurbs of information about your compatibility with other users in Astrology Mode.
