Photo Enhance is a tool that helps improve the technical quality of your photos. It’s designed to enhance overall photo quality - for example, making your profile photo clearer and better lit - not to make you look different. Photo Enhance is available for Android and iOS users in select markets.
Accessing Photo Enhance
Photo Enhance can be found by following the instructions below:
- Open Tinder.
- Open the Profile screen and tap Edit Profile (pencil icon).
- Photo Enhance automatically enhances an eligible profile photo., When suggested touch-ups are made, you’ll see the “Enhance” button on the enhanced photo and can tap it to reject the enhanced version and revert to the original if you prefer.
Please note: You won’t find Photo Enhance suggestions in Edit Profile if no technical issues are detected or you don’t have any photos featuring a face.
Using Photo Enhance
Photo Enhance can help sharpen blurry images, adjust brightness and exposure, and improve clarity, while keeping your photo authentic to you. When Photo Enhance enhances your photo, you’ll see a notification to view your enhanced photo - you can compare your original and enhanced photo using a slider. You’ll have an option to disable the suggested enhancement, if preferred. You can revert to your original photo at any time by accessing Photo Enhance as described above. If you choose to disable the Photo Enhance suggestion, you’ll be given the option to provide feedback on this tool.
This tool is designed to improve image quality without changing how you look. It’s not designed to add or remove people, objects, or backgrounds, apply cosmetic effects, or change facial features or skin tone appearance. Remember, while this tool is intended to help you, you’re ultimately responsible for what you choose to upload, including that the photos you decide to upload follow our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
Privacy & safety when using Photo Enhance
When Photo Enhance is active, it is powered by AI tools to detect photo quality issues and suggest targeted improvements to photo characteristics like brightness and saturation (among others) to improve photo quality. Photo Enhance also includes an automatic check to confirm that the enhanced photo still looks like you to preserve authenticity and show off the real you. If you save the enhanced photo, we keep it and the original photo so you can revert anytime.
