Photo Tips is a feature that reviews your profile photos and data to offer personalized suggestions to add or replace photos. Photos that show a mix of activities, settings, and poses give people a fuller sense of who you are. Photo Tips is available for Android and iOS users in select markets.
Accessing Photo Tips
If Photo Tips is available to you, you may see suggestions in a few places:
- While interacting with profiles in Discovery
- In the Profile tab under My Photos
- On the Edit Photos screen
Please note: Photo Tips checks your profile photos automatically for suggested changes, such as adding more variety to your photos. You won’t see suggestions if no feedback is available on your current photo selection.
Using Photo Tips
Photo Tips looks at your photos as a set, considering things like the variety of activities and poses shown in your photos and whether your photos are too similar. We also use information from your profile, like your bio and Interests, to help make suggestions more relevant to you.
Depending on your profile, Photo Tips may suggest that you:
- Add a certain type of photo, for example - “Let's add 4 more photos, including a hobby shot.”
- Replace a photo to add more variety, for example - “You have multiple similar selfies, so let's swap one out for a hobby photo.”
You can choose whether to follow a suggestion or dismiss it. If you dismiss a suggestion, you may be asked to share feedback to help improve Photo Tips and similar features. You won't receive new Photo Tips suggestions until you add, replace, or remove a photo.
