When you delete your account, your Tinder profile is no longer visible to other users and your data is deleted as set out in our Privacy Policy. If you'd rather take a break, consider hiding your profile instead.
You must be signed in to Tinder to delete your account. If you're having trouble with login, please visit this article.
To delete your account, follow these steps:
Delete from Tinder’s Settings:
- Sign in to the Tinder app or Tinder.com
- Tap the profile icon
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
Delete using the Manage My Account tool:
- Visit the Manage My Account tool
- Sign in using your Tinder login information
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm deletion
Deleting your Tinder account ensures that your data, including all your matches, messages, and photos, will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. However, if you deleted your account within the last 90 days, you may be able to recreate your profile and restore some information, like your name, age, and gender, by signing up with your previous credentials.
Note: The 90-day restore feature is currently being tested on iOS, Android, and tinder.com in select markets, with plans to expand to additional regions in the future.
Keep in mind
- Simply removing, uninstalling, or deleting the Tinder app from your phone will not delete your Tinder account, you must follow the steps above.
- Deleting your account won't cancel an active subscription.
- Once your account is deleted, you'll lose access to download your data.
- We delay deletion of your profile data for 90 days. These 90 days act as a “safety retention window” allowing us to maintain any information we may need to investigate harmful or illegal activity and to support the 90-day restore feature.
- After 90 days, we'll purge your profile data according to Section 9 of our Privacy Policy.
